The tutoring page
Use with: build-website. Resume line when done: Tutored {subject} with a booking page I built — {n} students, results shown as proof
Brief
A page offering tutoring in the one subject you are genuinely good at: your results as proof, what a session covers, and when you are free. One subject only; depth is the whole pitch, and the page should say no to everything else.
Personalize
- The subject. The one classmates already text you about before tests. If nobody texts you about it, it is the wrong subject.
- The proof. A grade, a score, or a piece of work you can show. Every claim must survive a skeptical parent asking to see it.
- The offer. Session length, where it happens (library, school, video call), and the price or a free first session.
- The students. Classmates in the year below, or younger kids of family friends. Write the page for their parents too.
Milestones
- Page live on day one: subject, availability, contact.
- Proof section written and checked: every result named is one you can show evidence for.
- Page shared by mid-week with the classmates who already ask, and with one teacher who might refer students.
- First session scheduled, or first inquiry answered and logged.
- After the first session, one line from the student or their parent added with permission.
- Final README: what the first student struggled with and how you would run session two.
Done means
- Live URL responding; readable on a phone
- One subject on the page; availability current
- Honest-claims check passed: every result named has evidence you can produce
- First inquiry or session logged in SESSIONS.md, which has an entry per session
- Sessions happen in a public place or with a parent nearby
- Payment, if any, handled by you directly with the parent; the page never collects money
