Brief
Everything you and your friends are finished with, listed with condition, price, and photos, aimed at next year's students at your school. The list is the catalog; the deals happen face to face at school, cash in hand, which keeps the whole thing scam-proof by default.
Personalize
- The books. Yours and your friends'. Each friend prices their own books and receives their own money; you run the list.
- Condition honesty. A photo of the worst page, highlighting and missing covers disclosed. A buyer who feels tricked tells the whole year group.
- The buyers. The class below you. Share through the channels they use, and the school noticeboard with permission.
- The handoff. At school, in daylight, cash preferred. If a payment app is used, the seller confirms the money inside the app before the book changes hands, since screenshots are faked.
Milestones
- List live on day one with your own books.
- Friends' books added by mid-week, each priced by its owner.
- Link shared with next year's students through their class group and the noticeboard.
- First sale done at school; the book marked sold the same day.
- Final README: what sold, what did not, and the prices that worked.
Done means
- Live URL responding; every listing has condition photos
- Honest-claims check passed: condition descriptions match the photos, damage disclosed
- Each seller receives their own money, handed over in person
- First sale or inquiry logged in SESSIONS.md, which has an entry per session
- Sold items marked sold within a day
- If anything is also listed on a public marketplace, you can name the common scams before replying to buyers: overpayment refund requests, fake payment-app screenshots, courier-collection stories
