Your reading list, public
Use with: build-website. Resume line when done: Built and maintains a public reading log — live at {url}
Brief
Every book you have finished, listed publicly, with two honest lines about each. The rule that makes the site worth reading: no book goes up unfinished, and no opinion goes up that you would not say out loud. This is a maintained site, so the build includes proving you will update it: at least one book has to be added after launch.
Personalize
- Your backlog. List every book you can honestly claim to have finished, going back as far as memory serves. School-assigned books count and are often where the honest lines get interesting.
- Your two-line format. Decide what your two lines do: verdict plus who should read it, or what it is plus what it did to you. Same format every book.
- The current book. Whatever you are reading now goes on the site as "in progress" and becomes your first post-launch entry.
Milestones
- Five books live at a URL, day one, plain list.
- The full backlog entered with dates finished, as near as you can reconstruct.
- Two honest lines written for every book, in your fixed format.
- Sorting or grouping that fits how you think about them: by year, by verdict, by genre.
- Phone styling; the list should be pleasant to scroll.
- Finish the current book and add it, which proves the update path works. Final README.
