The event page people keep texting you about
Use with: build-website. Resume line when done: Built and ran the information page for {event} — live at {url}
Brief
Some event is coming that people keep texting the same questions about: your cousin's wedding weekend, the school fest, the campout. Build the one link that answers all of it: times, addresses, what to wear, what to bring. From then on you reply with the URL instead of retyping the answer.
Personalize
- The event. A real event with a date soon enough to matter and far enough away to build for. You should be close to whoever is organizing it.
- The organizer's blessing. If the event is not yours, the organizer approves the page and its contents before the link goes anywhere. Their word beats your formatting.
- The questions you already got. Read back through your texts. Every question someone sent you about this event becomes a section on the page.
Milestones
- Collect the facts from the organizer and list the questions people have already asked.
- One page live at a URL with the essentials: what, when, where.
- Full schedule and addresses in, each address opening in a map app.
- The judgment calls added, confirmed with the organizer: dress, gifts, parking, weather plan.
- Organizer signs off; the link goes out in the invite thread or group chat.
- Questions that still arrive get answered on the page, and the asker gets the link. Final README after the event, with one line on how it went.
Done means
- Live URL responding; readable on a phone
- Organizer sign-off recorded in the README before the link went out
- The link was sent to actual attendees and used to answer at least one incoming question
- Every time and address on the page was confirmed with the organizer
- At least 8 commits across at least 5 distinct days, authored by you
- SESSIONS.md has an entry per session, written by you
