The dog page
Use with: build-website. Resume line when done: Ran a dog walking service with a site showing rates and owner references — {n} regular dogs
Brief
A page for the dog walking and sitting you already do: photos of the dogs, what you charge, and which streets you cover. The owners you already work for are your references; ask each for one line. New owners find you because a current owner sent the link.
Personalize
- The dogs. Only dogs you have walked or sat, photographed with the owner's permission. A page of stock dogs convinces nobody.
- The services. Walks, feeding visits, weekend sitting. List only what you have done before and what your parents allow.
- The rates. Per walk and per visit. Ask your current owners what is fair where you live.
- The limits. Sizes and behaviors you can handle. If you cannot hold an excited seventy-pound dog, the page should say so before an owner finds out on the sidewalk.
Milestones
- Page live on day one: services, streets, rates, contact.
- Photos and one-line references gathered from current owners, with permission recorded.
- Page shared by mid-week with your current owners, asking each to pass it to one dog household they know.
- First new inquiry answered; meet the dog with its owner present before agreeing to anything.
- Final README: which dogs, which streets, what you learned about scheduling around school.
Done means
- Live URL responding; readable on a phone
- Every photo and reference has the owner's recorded permission
- Honest-claims check passed: services listed are ones you have done, limits stated plainly
- First new-owner interaction logged in SESSIONS.md, which has an entry per session
- Owners pay you directly; the page has no payment link
