The club newsletter
Use with: newsletter-issue. Resume line when done: Launched and wrote an organization's newsletter — issue one delivered to {n} members
Brief
One issue for the members who missed the meetings: what was decided, what is coming, who did what. Written by you, checked with whoever runs the club, and sent out. It has to land before the next meeting to be useful, so the deadline is set for you. You report and write; the agent helps structure and trim.
Personalize
- The club. One you are in, with meetings you attend. The newsletter is reporting, and reporting needs a reporter in the room.
- The sections. Only what your club generates: decisions, dates, a member spotlight if members want one, the thing that went wrong and got fixed.
- The sign-off. The president or sponsor reads it before it goes out. Their corrections are part of the job.
Milestones
- Notes from the last meeting turned into a decisions-and-dates list, checked against the secretary's minutes if any exist.
- Section plan set and a recurring title chosen with the club.
- Full draft written by you.
- Reviewed by the club lead; corrections made.
- Sent to the member list before the next meeting, with an archive link.
Done means
- Delivered to the member list and viewable at a link
- It landed before the next meeting
- Decisions and dates match what happened, confirmed by the club lead
- An absent member can act on it: show up, sign up, pay dues
- The writing is yours
